My name is Advaith Krishna. If you just Googled “funniest man in Cergy”, you found me. Hi.

Who gave me that title? Well... I did. (Solid headline right there)
But stick around. Because how this page ended up at the top of Google is the whole point.
How this started
A few years ago I started working with some of the biggest podcasts in the world. After a while I got tired of explaining what I do every time someone asked. So I stopped explaining and told them to Google my name instead.
They’d type it in, my name would show up, and they’d look at me like I’d just pulled a rabbit out of a hat.
It wasn't magic. It was SEO. The exact same basics I use every day to put my businesses and friends at the top of Google.
So I’m doing it again, this time in Cergy, where I’m based. And this time I’m documenting every step, so my clients and friends can pull the same trick wherever they live.
What it takes to rank for anything
Ranking for a silly phrase and ranking a real business follow the same rules.
Choose the phrase. Build one page that answers it. Make sure Google finds the page. Get a few good links pointing at it. Check where it lands, fix what’s off, and do it again.
That’s all there is to it. No hidden formula, no hacks.
What changes is the competition. Nobody else is going after “funniest man in Cergy” (hard to believe, I know). A search like “restaurant Paris” has dozens of businesses fighting for the top 3. The rules are the same, but it takes a lot more work.
Why “funniest”
I meet a lot of people: classmates, founders, strangers at parties, whoever’s next to me in line. Most of them walk away laughing. A few walk away with sore cheeks. I’ve stopped apologizing for it.
So, is it true?
You found this page by Googling a phrase, and this page came out on top.
Draw your own conclusions.
Now imagine that, but for the phrase your friends or prospects type in when they need what you have.
